What a ride!!!

This last Sunday May 16th Wright's Motorcycle http://www.wrightsmotorcycleparts.com/ sponsered the annual Shriners Kids Benefit Ride.  Obviously it's a no-brainer that we would be involved.  Unfortunately we don't have a bike of our own to actually "ride" in the event but we participated in the picnic/raffle/party afterward.  The bikers left Wright's about 10am but hit a little bump in the road on their way.  3 bikers were injured in a crash that closed down Parley's Canyon and sent them to the hospital.  This delayed the arrival of the larger part of the group.  Eventually everyone ended up at West Bountiful Park around 1pm.  To say that it was a moving experience would be a huge understatement.

We went to the picnic last year while Savanna still had her braces on and just stood there crying at all the love and support these amazing people were giving kids and our child in particular.  This time there was a little less crying but still plently of love and support.  We had 7 different bikes and 16 people not including the 4 of us that participated specifically for Savanna and our family.  There are not words in the english language to describe the gratitude and love that we have for everyone that came and for Shriners Hospital.  They have truly changed our lives forever!

Now it's on to some fun photos of the day...

The yellow bandana they gave out at the ride.  There was a sea of them everywhere and it just made me smile.

These bears were for sale for $5 with ALL the proceeds benefitting Shriners.  That's right 100% of the proceeds from the ride, the bingo game and the raffle all went to benefit Shriners.  Everyone that was helping participated as a volunteer and all the food and prizes were donated.

Rob and Savanna on-stage during bingo and the raffle.  They asked them to get up and say a couple words about Savanna and what Shriners means to us.  Of course they were MORE than happy to oblige!

We just want to publically thank Shriners Hospital, Wright's Motorcylce, KBER 101, all the other sponsors and most importantly all the bikers and our family and friends for participating.
