New Logo & Random Bits About Me...

This is my new business logo thanks to Heather at http://heatherlynnphotos.etsy.com/
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It's totally me, don't ya think? You can be on the lookout for a new website and possibly a new blog in the weeks and months to come. How is this possible for the technology challenged like myself? Well let's just say that everything has a price! :)

Speaking of etsy.com (warning shameless self promotion coming)...

I have an etsy shop of my own. I sell custom made sparkly hair flowers. Feel free to drop by and look around http://anglily.etsy.com/ Of course if you are local you can always come here to see everything in person. And yes it's true what they say...Everything is better with sparkles!

Since I'm super busy editing photos I thought I would deviate from the norm a bit and post some random info about me. I know that the majority of you reading this are related to me in some way, so most of this won't come as any surprise.

Top 5 Favorite Foods/Meals:
1. Beef and Broccoli from Wok Lin in Bountiful
2. Broccoli with Browned Butter and Mizithra Cheese with hearty helping of warm sourdough bread thrown in for good measure (almost forgot to add it's from The Spaghetti Factory).
3. Chili Verde from La Puente (affectionately known as La Poo Poo in my house)
4. Egg Rolls from Wok Lin
5. Hawaiian Haystacks from my own kitchen (shocker I know).

I think I spot a broccoli trend. Weird I know! And no we don't go out to eat all that often. As you all know I'm a bit of a health nut and prefer to cook our meals myself.

What I'm listening to lately:
1. We Weren't Born to Follow by Bon Jovi (fainting and swooning happening as we speak)
2. Smile by Uncle Kracker
3. Hey, Soul Sister by Train (I just can't help but get up and dance when I hear it)
4. Closer to Love by Mat Kearney
5. Anything by Michael Jackson (yes still, Logan's obsessed)

5 Random Things You May Not Know About Me:
1. I had a paper route as a kid/teenager (still bitter about it too)
2. I have a strange obsession with shoes (odd since I'm barefoot 95% of the time)
3. I have the world's most sensitive nose (I remember people by the way they smell and I can still tell you what my Grandma's kitchen smelled like almost 12 years after her death)
4. I LOVE to workout (at times it could probably be called more of an obsession )
5. I lettered in Debate in High School (I know you all know that this girl can talk! And no it's wasn't as nerdy as it sounds)

5 Random Things About My Family:
1. Rob and I were certain that Savanna was going to come out looking like Orphan Annie. My red hair and his curly hair mixed together and we were positive we'd be straightening or coloring from birth. We got lucky and she was blessed with super straight, very fine strawberry/light brown locks.
2. Rob and I are both the oldest children, hence the crazy people pleasing genes.
3. Logan refuses to eat bread, toast however is ENTIRELY different (don't ask).
4. We have 2 VERY different dogs. Yukon, our 9 year old 115lb Alaskan Malamute and Rocky, our 2 year old 15lb Shih-tzu.
5. Our very favorite place to visit as a family is Disneyland. Not that unique I know but we love it. Rob and I spent 5 days of our honeymoon there and the kids have been more times than I should admit.

Now that ya'll know a little more about me I'd better get back to work. I promise to update with more photos soon. I just need several more hours in the day to get everything done.

Picture me changing my sweater and shoes while humming tunes from Mr. Rogers neighborhood now. Until we meet again,
Angela

Short and Sweet

doesn't typically describe me or my life but that's what I'm going for today. It's a crazy week and I have a lot going on so let's get right to the point. Photos right?!

Meet Jayviann. She is an absolute doll with a lot of spunk. Just the way I like them!

Now let's say hello to Rayanna, cousin to princess J. As you can see Rayanna is not afraid to work it baby! Seriously these 2 girls made me want to put my party dress on and twirl around in circles.

Just for kicks I'll give you a quick sneak peak of my friend Abbie. We have known each other since she was just a bitty little baby. I work with her often and it gets better every time. This was an absolute dream session. Perfect location, awesome light, super cute outfit and a feisty little 4 year old that melts my heart.

Well it's back to work for me. See you next week.

Hunkered down @ my desk, working away,
Angela

A day late

and a dollar short. Story of my life. I'm just going to say that I promised to post once a week but I didn't promise what day-so I'm good right? :) As we get closer and closer to fall there is a chance my postings will be a bit more sporatic. I get pretty busy and it gets harder to stay on top of everything. I promise to give it my best shot and try to be a good little blogger.

Moving right along. What good is a post without photos? Well here goes. This is Janna and can we all just say it together...VAVAVAVOOOOOOM!! America's Next Top Model watch out!

Seriously, this girl is amazing. Smart, funny and charming. She has it all.

I'm running out of witty comments so more photos it is.

One more.

All I am going to say is that in my next life I want some of her genes.

On a side note I still can't figure out how to make my photos larger or more clear on the old blog. I have found some forum posts online that talk about editing the code some more but seriously it's just over my head. Does anyone else find it funny that I shoot 100% in manual on my camera and I certainly have some mad photoshop skills but I can't manage to figure out this dang blog. For now just click on the photo to enlarge it and see the detail. Any of you who have seen my work know that it is not pixelated or fuzzy AT ALL. If you know anyone who would send some blog help my way I promise to reward you with some super yummy homemade zucchini carrot bread and I won't even mention how healthy it is. :)

For any of you out there thinking of fall portraits now is the time to get your session booked. This time of the year my schedule fills quickly and if you want to guarantee the "perfect" time I would suggest getting something set up right away. I always have some great ideas for fun locations so give me a call anytime.

I guess it's time to bring this novel to a close. Go and enjoy some fried food at the State Fair and start thinking about sweaters and hot chocolate.

Until next time,

2 posts in 1 day

What is this all about? I just thought I would throw a question out there to any of you veteran bloggers. I think I finally got the "layout" of my blog to look the way I want now I just need to be able to increase the size of the photos. Does anyone know how to do this? I have been "editing" the code for days it seems like and this is all over my head anyway. If anyone knows how to make the photos larger add a comment or send me an email. Clearly I need help!

New Week

new post right? Before we get to the good stuff I just want to say Thank You! Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. Y'all gave me the warm fuzzies and you therefore you definitely deserve a gold star!

Anyway moving right along. I figure that until I get the hang of this whole blogging thing I will just post some of my favorite images throughout the summer. Deal? OK here goes...
These are the Clark kiddos. I have been working with both of them since they were just babies. I am completely in love with the photo in the center of this collage. She leaned in to give him a little love and he just wasn't sure about it at all. Perfection, if I can say so myself.

Here we have Christina and Landan. They are getting married in just a couple weeks and I couldn't be more excited for them. I have known Christina and her family for more than 10 years. Does that officially make me old or what? Anyway I had this great idea to use my umbrella on the bridge, they humored me and look what we got. Gorgeous and totally fun!

Last is little miss "T". Again I have been loving on her since she was just tiny. I think this photo say "summer" perfectly. Too bad it is all coming to an end so quickly.

As you can see I love my job! I have the best clients and I really couldn't ask for more. Except maybe a new pair of shoes. Hey a girl can ask right?

Until Next Time!
