A few notes for the day...

Hello everyone!  I want to quickly say a public Thank You for all the love and support Savanna and our family have received about the Shriners website story and her personal journey.  We appreciate all your kind thoughts and words!

Also I thought I would pop in and let y'all know that I have made a few little changes to my regular website.  Check it out at http://www.lilyquistphotography.com/ and let me know what you think.

Oh and since a post is no good without photos here's a little beauty for your viewing pleasure.
One of these days I will figure out how to post huge photos so you can all see the colors and quality like I do.  Until then, just click on the image to enlarge it.

Over and Out,
Angela

Just 1 More...

I know y'all are probably sick of me using this "photography" blog as my personal message board or soap box but I guess in a way that is exactly what it is.  With that being said I feel the need to share 1 more personal story of sorts and then we'll get back to regularly scheduled programming.

If you have been reading this blog for a bit you might remember the post last December about my daughter Savanna dancing in Mountain West Ballet's Nutcracker.  http://angelalilyquistphotography.blogspot.com/2009/12/they-told-us-she-might-never-walk.html

Shortly after I posted the very personal story of her struggles I was contacted by the PR (public relations) department at Shriners Hospital where she has been receiving treatment from Dr. Hennessey.  They wanted permission to use her story with my photos and my words in marketing materials and other publications.  Of course I jumped at the chace.  As I might've mentioned here before, this girl sure likes to talk.  Especially about my kiddos.  Long story short, my computer crashed and burned right in the middle of the process of getting the photos sent off and the story being written.  After a bit of delay the story was published on Shriners website yesterday.  You can see it here...

We are beyond honored to have received such top notch care at such an amazing place.  There are angels on earth walking the halls of their hospital every single day.  It is my personal goal to tell everyone who will listen about Shriners Hospitals for Children and their special mission to help the children who mean so much to all of us.  Savanna is very excited to help out by participating at local events and acting as a "spokesman" for Shriners whenever she can.

Thank you Shriners Hospital for accepting Savanna and millions of other deserving children for much needed treatment.  Thank you Dr. Hennessey for your gentle and caring compassion when treating my little girl.  Thank you Peter in Orthotics for making us laugh every single time we saw you.  You made it fun to come and visit.  Thank you Melissa in Public Relations for finding a place for our story and taking a special interest in what we had to say.  Thank you Maureen for recommending Shriners to me in the first place.  Finally Thank You God for 2 perfect little angels that bless our lives every single day.  I am proud to say that I am their Mamma.

Until Next Time,
Angela

Well Hello World Wide Web

I know it's been awhile but I would like to reintroduce myself.  My name is Angela Lilyquist and I'm a professional photographer in North Salt Lake Utah.

Now that the introductions are out of the way I thought I'd give you all a little update.  Eleanor (my computer) is home safe and sound and purring quietly right next to me.  After enormous struggles and ridiculously lengthy hospital stays she is fixed and running like a champ.  I won't bore you all with the details but I will say that a well timed email to a certain division manager helped things along.

Since it's getting pretty late I'd better get back to work.  I will leave you all with one quick photo that sums up life in The Lilyquist household perfectly...

Yes folks, that's right there is a dump truck hanging from our swing set.  It swings and sways in the wind and gets all sorts of interesting looks from passersby.  It's been this way for almost 2 weeks now and no one can get it down.  I guess I'll be heading out there with some scissors very soon.

Thanks for sticking by me y'all.  Cross your fingers for no more chaos.
xoxoxo!

Still no Eleanor

Just thought I would pop in and let you all know that I still do not have my computer back.  We have been assured that she is nearly finished and completely upgraded.  Unfortunately she is not home yet.  I have very limited computer/email access via my hubby's laptop.  I will post again once Eleanor is back home, safe and sound.

Thanks for the endless patience!

Boo Hoo Hoo...

Well I wish I could say that I was posting some beautiful new photos or a unique product spotlight but sadly I am not. Eleanor (my new computer) is back in the shop for some maintenance. Unfortunately the guys at PC Laptops on 7th South and State have really let us down. I know I know, I had nothing but positive reviews in the beginning but things have rapidly deteriorated and we are left feeling let down and unhappy. Hopefully by next week things will be up and running as they should be and life will be back to normal. Well as normal as possible for the crazy Lilyquist Family anyway.

Trying to keep it together without crying,

Angela
